We are very proud to announce that the Remembrance Parade will go ahead this year. It became apparent in September that it was unlikely to go ahead since the Police and other authorities pulled their support for such events and our thoughts are with neighbouring Parishes who have cancelled their parades this year.
We created a successful working group with members of Penketh Parish Council, Great Sankey Parish Council and the local branch of the Royal British Legion, The Royal British Legion Penketh & Sankey Branch, who came together to ensure our communities could pay their respects and remember.

The large poppies which proved very popular over the past 2 years will be available for purchase again. The first year they lined the parade route whilst last year people displayed them at their homes or business.
This year marks 100 years of the Royal British Legion, so it is hoped that a hundred poppies will line the route of this year’s parade.
